Photographed under moonlight, this aqueduct, built by King Herod during the first century B.C., carried water 12 to 17 miles from a lake across the sand dunes and into the ancient city of Caesarea, located in present-day Israel.
Abgesehen von dieser Information und der Schönheit des Bildes von Michael Melford wurde ich erstmals National Geographics Our Shot gewahr. Dort wird täglich ein Foto eines ihrer Fotografen präsentiert, jedes Mal ein echtes eye candy.
